Method guide / Rules

Make the conditions for success explicit and testable.

Rules make the important expectations, boundaries, and quality conditions for the outcome clear enough to evaluate.

Turn agreement into observable expectations

A Rule should express a condition that matters to the outcome. It gives the customer and delivery team a shared basis for design, review, and acceptance.

  • Connect it to the Goal
  • Make the expected behavior understandable
  • Identify the relevant boundary or risk
  • State how the condition can be evaluated

Use concrete language

Words such as secure, scalable, intuitive, and fast need enough context to be useful. The public principle is simple: important expectations should be reviewable rather than left as slogans.
